CCR Day 3

  Jazlynn Ramos Ms. Landis CCR Day 3   1.        I became a better film maker in many ways. First things first, I learned how to differentiate shot types. I never knew the name or could identify different shot types before I began this course. I really didn’t think about it or considered it, now I watch movies and can point out the types of shots being used. 2.        To start, in the beginning I learned how to do shot types as well as how to differentiate them. I also learned about mise-en-scene. I never knew what this meant until I took this class and took notes on it. This helped me learn ab the costumes, background, lighting, and etc. 3.        As of editing, I have a hard time editing. I cannot find any good apps or websites. Film considerations

 In what locations will your film be shot? Why? Include pictures and/or videos of real shooting locations. I was thinking for my film to be shot around my neighborhood. My plot is people who get lost in the woods and end up in a haunted palace, so I believe shooting it around the neighborhood first would be good, then for the palace part shoot it in my house. This has been my initial thought but I am now re-thinking about shooting it in my house because it is not much palace like. Possibly another option would be my grandmas house which is much bigger and has stairs.  Who will act in your film, if anyone? Why?  My sisters can help act in my film as well as my bestfriend most likely. If they are not available I will have to find other family members to participate because regardless, the idea was for it to be older individuals including the fact that they need to be able to drive. CCR Day 1

  CCR Day 1 Jazlynn Ramos         My film uses genre conventions because of how the film starts. It starts with 2 women driving and their car breaks down, I feel as if this scene is typical horror film. As well as when they begin to realize they are lost in the woods. My decisions weren’t hard to make for this opening because before I even really started, I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do. The setting I chose was fairly easy to not only film but make it make sense in the sense of what is going on. It is the woods which goes hand in hand leading to when they find the house that they will soon try to enter. As of sound, the music that is played in the back is to create some type of suspense.
